Caitlin Wilcox's Blog

A Hundred Visions and Revisions

About September 16, 2009

Greetings Reader,

You have stumbled upon my blog, Congratulations! Prepare to have your mind blown…

This blog was created as an assignment for my Hypermedia class.* For part 1 of this assignment, I was instructed to develop a visually interesting blog with short, telling stories which will come together to tell My Story. Crafting a My Story is a three-part process. First, I will narrate three memories from my early childhood (Family), next I will retell a story I loved as a child (Entertainment), and lastly I will draw parallels between the two sections (Felt).

For part two of this blog, I selected a prominent historic figure from my hometown (Community), and then wrote three micro-narratives about his life. Afterwards, I examined one story from each of the three influential groups (Family, Entertainment, Community), and sifted though all the different images and ideas, looking for certain elements in each story that related to the others (Emblem), in attempts to form a cohesive message about me and my view of the world (Logo). Through the completion of each part of this blog, I have crafted an Image of Wide Scope.  An Image of Wide Scope is an abridge version of one’s world outlook. By reading though these posts and pages, you should be able to piece together a solid impression of my character and how I see the world…lucky you!
